Entreaties

Whispering clouds speak
Nascent entreaties to peak
Earth's languid bosom.

The Getting

Loving hearts dispense
the giving love and figure
more remains to give.

Lurking Weapons

Massive weapons lurk
Within President Bush's mind
Not in Saddam's caves.

Nuremburg

Nuremburg redux -
crimes against humanity
need prosecution.

Noble Heroes

Glorify heroes -
Duty, Honor, and Service -
Noble sacrifice.

No One Wins

No one wins a war.
You either survive in it
Or you die in it.

No Man Jack

Who's above the law?
No man jack or president
Stands above the law.

No Fear

Fear no end to war.
Give peace a moment's regard.
Goodwill, Faith abide.

Love Me

Love me as I am.
Love me as I change myself.
Love me letting go.

Accountable

Order boots to ground.
Deceive yourself and others.
Who's accountable?

Go Figure

Wrong headed thinking?
Hegemony is passe.
Freedom is a choice.

What Profit War?

Draw me down the line
why Halliburton warrants
wealth while others die.

The Martyr's Loss

Sacrifice gives life.
Martyrdom supports a cause.
Suicide negates.

The Giving

Lonely hearts absorb
the giving love and figure
none remains for them.

Profit in Lies

Impeach George Bush now.
Halliburton's profits are
As big as his lies.

Nowhere 'ban

Snow proliferates.
Afghanistan runs backwards.
Burkas rule nowhere.

Guarding Light

Dawning breaks anew.
The shell of nightly slumber
guards the light of life.

Glazed Over

I peer at windows
open toward life and soul -
few gaze back at me.

Freckled Shadows

World of freckled light,
when closed, my eyes see ghostly
shadows of your past.

Oil Dependency

February 9, 2007

Dealing with dependency
Requires breaking the grip
Of one's opiate.

Narcotic fears lie to us:
Oil and fossil fuels are good
For the world economy
And pose few threats
To the environment.

Face down these lies.
Resolve to face the truth
Unafraid and with determination.

Fossil fuels drive us
Even more insidiously
Than cocaine and amphetamines
Push their depraved junkies.

Our first woman President
Is well and best-suited
To bring strength
And compassion to
Our despotic enslavement
To oil and fossil fuels.

The old way of
Blind dependency
Must be discredited.
Oil is not king.

Wanton demands
For speed,
Muscle-bound capacities,
And excessively luxurious features
Must be curbed.

Speed and his brothers kill,
Betray our world,
And pollute our minds,
Bodies and environs.

Through friendly persuasion
Our new President
Can break the old mindset.
Energy does not equal fossil fuels.

Oil companies must help
Lead us out of this crisis
Or get out of the business.

Give consumers
Viable energy alternatives
Sooner rather than later.

Innovate new energy paradigms
That empower us
Without driving us to guzzle,
Pollute and squander.

President Hillary Clinton
Can lead the world
Out of our energy sickness
By calling for a new order
In energy, technology,
And the environment.

We can learn
From the world's
Best energy solutions.

Power, grace, and
Gradual progress
Will free us from
Our fears and
Oil dependency.

The time has come
For Hillary Clinton's
Leadership.

The Time Has Come

February 5, 2007

Remember the hype in 1976
When our nation celebrated
200 years of history?

The largest fireworks ever.
Extravaganzas
On every shore and byway.
Parades, marching bands,
Soldiers, veterans,
And flags, flags were everywhere.

Soon in 2008
We, the people
Of the United States of America,
Will accomplish
What could not be done
In 232 years.

That's right
The good ol' USofA
Is 0 for 232 years
On this one.

But don't cry for me Argentina.
Don't laugh at me Margaret Thatcher.

The time has come.
That's right.
No more tryin'.
No more foot'n around.

We are not just talk'n th' talk
No sir. No hoopla. No hype.
No more also rans.
No contenter who fades
In the primaries.

We have shopped around long enough.
And brothers and sisters
I'm telling you straight.
The simple truth is
The time has come.

I stand as a witness to you
Speaking from my head
As well as from deep within
My heart and soul.

Over sixty years old
My generation arrived
After World War Two.
The United Nations
Was born in our time.

We helped put a man on the moon
We are going to put families there soon.
We send women into outer space.
We even send women into combat.

Our mothers and daughters,
Our sisters, wives, and best friends,
Our women serve bravely and
Honorably along with our men.

In the carnage of war
Some of these heroines
Are wounded or killed in action.
We will always honor
Their memories and sacrifices.

We witnessed women graduate
With high academic honors.
We have watched
And worked for women
With strength, integrity, and wisdom.

We have seen women promoted
To senior leadership positions
In business, the military,
And throughout all levels of
Law enforcement, the Government,
The Judiciary, and the Supreme Court.

There are women Governors.
There are women in the Senate.
There are women in the Congress.

The Speaker of the House
For the first time in our history
Is a woman, a Democrat,
A leader of her political party,
And a strong voice of leadership
For our human rights and
For the laws that govern us.

Now mark my words
The time has come.
I will not miss this
Once in a lifetime opportunity.
Join us now the time has come.

In 2008, the people of
The United States of America
Will elect the first woman as
President of the United States.

I firmly believe that woman is
The Honorable Senator
From the State of New York -
Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Count my vote now for the next
President of the United States -
Our first woman President
In 232 years -
Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The time has come.
The time has come.
Join us now.
Vote Hillary Rodham Clinton
For President
The time has come.

Many Voices

January 27, 2007

Shia, Sunni, Kurds and Christians;
Turkmen, Jews and tribal minorities;
The people of Iraq
Speak with many voices.

The United States of America
Should not be
One of the voices
Coming from inside Iraq.

Sunni communities
Throughout the world;
Learned and revered Shia;
The Muslim Brotherhood;
Neighboring countries
And the United Nations
Can better
And more reasonably
Influence Iraqis
Without dominating
Or exploiting them.

There are many voices
To guide Iraq
Into a renewal of peace,
Coexistence, and
Towards greater heights
And expressions of their own
Freedoms and responsibilities.

Yes, evil resides among
The people of Iraq
And sadly throughout
The rest of the world.

Humanities' children yet again
Have been traumatized and
Maimed by the atrocities of war
And ravages of hatred and hostilities.

Revenge and retribution
Will continue in Iraq
Until law and order
And justice prevail.

No foreign power however
Can stop the hatred and carnage.

Only the Love of Allah,
Only human lives
Dedicated to the words
And true intent
Of the Prophet Muhammad,
And only the faith
Of the followers of Islam
Can stop the hatred
And carnage in Iraq.

The many voices of Iraq
Must be heard and heeded
For peace and reconciliation
To guide the people
Toward a future
Of self-government
And self-determination.

Get coalition forces out of Iraq
Sooner - Not Later.
Send coalition troops home.
Stand down and step back.

Some day we invaders of Iraq
May be marked by history
As Liberators,
But today we are seen as
An invading horde of Infidels.

Right or wrong
The death of Saddam Hussein is done.
Blood too stains the rope
Of his demise.

We cannot ignore
Or conveniently forget
That the hands of
President George W. Bush
Helped to tie the hangman's knot.

Shamefully America's integrity
Has suffered under the leadership
And harsh exercise of power
By George W. Bush.

The responsibility for silencing
Tens of thousands
Of Iraqi voices
Haunts his soul.

Every President
Elected by the People of
The United States of America
Is accountable
For his or her actions.

Our soldiers are told
They will be prosecuted
To the full extent of the law
If they are negligent in their duties or
If they commit crimes during
The conduct of their assignments.

President Bush ordered
The U.S. Military
To hand over an Iraqi prisoner
And stood back as his head
Was ripped from his body.

Many voices from within our military
Should be crying out for justice.

Many voices from within
The halls of Congress
Should be clamouring for accountability.

Many voices from within
The United Nations and
Around the world
Should be screaming,
Chanting, singing,
Praying and protesting
That President Bush
Has become his own worst enemy.

After four years of this mess
The time has come to
Impeach George W. Bush.

Now also is the time to
Impeach Vice President Cheney.

These two men
More than anyone else
Bullied and mongered us
Into fearing their nightmares,
Frightful visions, and horrid demons.

Wake up people.
End this war now.
Retire our armed forces
To stations just outside Iraq.

There were no hidden weapons
Of mass destruction.

There were no reservoirs
Of dangerous chemical
Or biological weapons.

There was no network
Of Iraqi-funded
Terrorist training camps.

Every patriotic American
Should demand no more troops
Should be sent to Iraq
To pursue President Bush's demons.

No more wrongs
Are going to ever
Make this invasion right.

America was wrong again.
Live with it.
No lies. No coverups.
Own up to the truth.

End this war now.
Get out of Iraq now.
Stop the lies.
End the war now.
